Privacy Policy

Bio-Scry is designed around a single principle: your data never leaves your device.

Last updated · 7 July 2026

What we collect

Nothing. Bio-Scry does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or any of the genetic sequences, reads, or files you work with. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

How your data is processed

All assembly, alignment, annotation, typing, and analysis run entirely on-device, in the app's own sandbox. Your reads, assemblies, and results are stored only on your device and are under your control — you can delete them at any time from within the app.

Network access

Bio-Scry works fully offline. It contacts the network only for two purposes, and neither sends any information about you or your sequences:

1 · Reference downloads you initiate

When you use "Fetch by accession," the app requests the public record you asked for from NCBI E-utilities or EBI ENA over HTTPS. Only the accession you typed is sent, to those public databases.

2 · Subscriptions

Bio-Scry Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the transaction; we never see or receive your payment details. Subscription status is verified on-device by Apple's StoreKit; we operate no server.

Subscriptions

Bio-Scry Pro is an auto-renewable subscription managed entirely by Apple. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. We do not run any backend and do not store any subscription or billing data.

Children

Bio-Scry is a professional / educational research tool and is not directed at children.

Not a medical device

Bio-Scry is provided for research and educational use only. It is not a certified diagnostic device and must not be used as the sole basis for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
